This workshop is designed to allow participants to experience the benefits and disadvantages of testing within SCRUM. Participants are put in a “real life” SCRUM testing case where a product has to be tested through a number of iterations to meet certain quality requirements.
The main part of the training consists of executing SCRUM testing iterations based on User Stories. During the iterations the participants learn to advise to the Product Owner whether or not to take a product, especially developed for this course, into production.
Throughout the workshop we dedicate time to discuss the theoretical basis. We discuss the fundamentals of Agile and talk about a specific method (SCRUM) to ensure testing is managed properly in an Agile context. On top of this we discuss the principles of “business value”, prioritization and practices that make testing an efficient and value adding activity in an Agile environment.
For this training we choose a competitive structure where you win through working with SCRUM methodology and identifying issues in the product. The best SCRUM team gets a prize.
