We respect the privacy of visitors to the website and ensure that the personal information that you provide us is treated confidentially. Therefore, we adhere to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Personal data that we process

Polteq Test Services B.V. processes your personal data when you use our services and/or when you provide this information to us yourself. Below is an overview of the personal data we process:

  • First and last name;
  • Phone number;
  • Business email address;
  • Other personal data that you actively provide by, for example, your application for one of our training courses, conferences, workshops or test courses;;
  • Information about your activities on our website;
  • In some cases, data about your surfing behavior across different websites (for example because we occasionally use online advertising campaigns)
  • Your CV and other necessary documents in case you apply.

Special and/or sensitive personal data that we process

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data about website visitors who are younger than 16 years. Unless they have permission from parents or guardians. However, we cannot check if a visitor is older than 16. We encourage parents to be involved in the online activities of their children, in order to prevent data about children being collected without parental consent. If you are convinced that we have collected personal information about a minor without this permission, please contact us at and we will delete this information.

For what purpose and on what basis do we process personal data

We may only process personal data if there is a legal basis for this (Article 6 of the GDPR). We therefore only process personal data for the following bases and indicate the applicable situations:

  1. You have given prior permission for the processing of your personal data:
    • delivering our (digital) newsletter when you have registered for it and are not (yet) a customer;
    • placing social media and tracking cookies;
  1. The processing of your personal data is necessary for entering into or carrying out the agreement with you, including:
    • for the handling of applications;
    • to call or e-mail you if necessary to carry out our services;
    • to inform you about changes to our services and products;
    • to be able to carry out services for you;

Sending newsletters

Polteq sends out newsletters via e-mail. If you are not yet a customer, you can subscribe by giving your consent. If you are a customer, you can indicate that you do not want to receive a digital newsletter when you have entered your e-mail address. Of course, you can unsubscribe at any time for our newsletter via the link at the bottom of the newsletters or by sending an e-mail to

Our newsletters are mainly focused on knowledge sharing and information related to our services and events that we organize. Your first name, last name and e-mail address are collected via the appropriate form on the Polteq website.

Your e-mail address and first and last name are stored in MailChimp that processes personal data for us. Of course, good agreements have been made with MailChimp to guarantee your privacy.

How long do we store personal data

Polteq Test Services B.V. does not store your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the legitimate objectives for which your data is collected. The following situations can be distinguished.

  1. If you have given permission for the processing of your personal data, we will process this personal data until you withdraw this consent. In the meantime, we will ask you if you want to maintain your consent.
  2. If we process your personal data, because this is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, we will retain your data as long as necessary to comply with any statutory (storage) obligation.
  3. If we process your personal data because this is necessary to carry out an agreement with you, we will retain this personal data for at least five years after the end of the agreement, or for as long as is necessary.
  4. If we process your personal data for a legitimate interest, we will not retain this information for longer than is necessary and justified.
  5. If we collect your personal data in the context of an application procedure, we will delete this personal data no later than four weeks after the application procedure has ended, unless you have given permission for a longer storage period to qualify as a future candidate/applicant.

Sharing personal data with third parties

Polteq Test Services B.V. only provides personal data to third parties as far as is necessary for a legal purpose.

Cookies, or similar techniques that we use

Polteq Test Services B.V. uses functional, analytical, tracking and social media cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is stored in the browser of your computer, tablet or smartphone when you first visit this website.

We use functional cookies that ensure that the website functions properly and that, for example, your preferred settings are remembered. Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. We use this service to track and obtain reports on how visitors use the website. With this we can optimize the operation of our website. The data that Google Analytics collects are anonymous and are therefore not bound to you as persons or to your personal data. Think of information such as the duration of your website visit or the pages you visit. This data is stored in Google Analytics for 2 years.

For the sake of your privacy, we have implemented Google Analytics in the website according to the manual of the Dutch Data Protection Authority (August 15, 2018), so that there are no or minor consequences for privacy.

We have also concluded a processor agreement with Google; the last octet of the IP address is masked; “share data” is turned off; and we do not use other Google services in conjunction with Google Analytics cookies.

Facebook and Twitter

On our website buttons are included to promote or share pages on social networks Facebook and Twitter. These buttons are realized by code that is supplied by Facebook and Twitter itself. This code places, among other things, a social media cookie. We ask for your permission before these cookies are placed.

View, modify or delete data

On the basis of the GDPR you have the right to inspect and rectify your personal data. In some cases, you may also request that you delete your personal data or restrict your use or object to it. Make your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and citizen service number (BSN) black in this copy. This is to protect your privacy. We may require you to identify yourself at the office in connection with the nature of the request.

When you submit a question and/or request to us, we ensure that your request is processed within 4 weeks. If we are unable to handle it within this period, we will notify you accordingly.
