Testing strategy for Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sports

In short, the answer is: by having all healthcare providers, both healthcare institutions (such as hospitals) and independent providers (such as general practitioners), exchange information on the basis of standardized procedures. An ambitious mega-project with big stakes. Polteq is developing the testing strategy for this new healthcare testing center.
Legislation
The new law “Electronic Data Exchange in Healthcare Act” is very relevant for software vendors in the healthcare chain. There are requirements for current and future data exchange systems.
The Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS) is currently setting up a national testing center. This will be a one-stop shop for providing assistance in setting up and implementing all tests involved in the transition to standardizing data exchange in language and technology.
- The aim is to make healthcare data findable, accessible and interchangeable, enhancing its reusability
- A facility is a generic function required in all healthcare applications, such as
- Identification client and caregiver (who are you?).
- Authentication (establishing that you say who you are)
- Localization (where is what patient or client data?)
- Consent (from the patient, for sharing medical data)
- Authorization (what data are you allowed to see?)
- Addressing (the current digital address of the healthcare facility or provider)
- The collection of software products that have integrated these standards collectively forms the healthcare data exchange ecosystem
