Playwright is a popular open-source tool that can be used to properly and efficiently automate end-to-end testing for browser applications. Playwright supports multiple programming languages (Java, C#, Python and JavaScript/TypeScript) so it can be used in various development environments. An additional advantage is that Playwright makes it possible to run tests more frequently, faster and on multiple types of browsers and operating systems.
In this 1-day training you will gain experience with automating end-to-end testing with Playwright by performing a large number of exercises in the development language of your choice (JavaScript or TypeScript). We will also look into the Playwright tools Test Generator, Trace Viewer and UI mode and the possibility of adding API tests to the test.
Automating testing consists not only of executing a test, but also of preparing for the initial situation and leaving the environment tidy afterwards. This aspect is also included in the training which teaches participants an approach to make the test code not only readable, but also maintainable and extensible.
At the end of the training the participants receive the material digitally, so they can immediately apply what they have learned in their own practice.
Topics covered during this training are:
The training is for anyone who wants to learn how to automate testing with Playwright in a JavaScript/TypeScript environment. Participants in this training are expected to have (already some) practical experience with the JavaScript and/or TypeScript programming languages.
After completion of this training participants receive a certificate of participation in the training Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript.
