In today’s market, basic knowledge of a programming language is a must for a tester. For example, testers are involved in automated (regression) testing. Also, knowledge of programming language structure helps in the communication with developers. With their knowledge of a programming language, testers can better support developers in setting up automated unit tests.
The two most commonly used languages are Java and C#. To teach testers knowledge of (one of) these programming languages, Polteq has developed this two-day training course. Prior to the training, participants indicate in which programming language they want to make the various assignments during the training.
During this two-day training you will learn the basics of programming in your chosen language through explanation and numerous exercises. You will also be able to set up a test framework that fits the chosen language (Java: JUnit or TestNG; C#: NUnit, MSTest or xUnit) and set up and run automated tests in it. You will also gain knowledge of some principles from Object Oriented Programming (OOP) that are applied in test automation.
After the training, participants will receive the material digitally, so they can immediately apply what they have learned in their own practice.
The target audience for this training consists of test professionals who have no knowledge of Java, C# and/or object oriented programming (OOP). Prior knowledge is not required
