Living architecture: A quality view

The A4Q Global Testing Summit is the ultimate destination for professionals looking to immerse themselves in the world of software testing and certifications. The conference offers a dynamic and inspiring experience, full of valuable knowledge, networking opportunities with industry leaders and plenty of inspiration.

With a carefully curated lineup, the organization will bring together industry experts, thought leaders and experienced peers on June 3, 2025 to share best practices, valuable insights and real-world experiences.

Our colleagues Jeroen Meijerink (Test Architect) and Michiel Keij (Test Architect) on the in-house developed tool POLAR, Polteq Living Architecture, titled:

Living Architecture: A quality view

Architecture designs often remain static blueprints, disconnected from the reality of the implemented software. This leads to inconsistencies and silos of knowledge, resulting in a loss of overview and flexibility of systems. Our approach breaks this pattern by linking architecture diagrams to live test results. This transforms traditional architecture documentation into a dynamic whole that reflects the true state of the system. When tests pass or fail, the architecture diagrams are automatically updated to integrate these test results into the relevant parts of the architecture.

Their lecture discusses how this method improves communication between developers, architects and quality assurance. This creates a consistent picture of system quality, which is the basis for continuous system improvement.
