Polteq and Abra join expertise to strengthen digital accessibility of mobile apps
On Monday, Dec. 1, 2025, Polteq and Abra signed a partnership to jointly take accessibility for mobile apps to the next level. Polteq and Abra complement each other beautifully. Abra has a whole eco-system, including code samples, an online academy, a desktop application with a dashboard to collect findings and link them to the success criteria from the WCAG standard, Polteq has the knowledge and experience to increase software quality in the organization through training, assessment and quality engineers in the teams.
Accessibility
Since June 28, 2025, the European Accessibility Act has come into force, requiring companies to also make their (digital) services digitally accessible. It is an ongoing requirement so that from now on all users can participate inclusively and independently within the digitizing society. The guidelines for this have existed for some time, but now it is required by law and will be enforced. The legislation is largely based on the criteria laid down in the WCAG. For web applications, many parties exist that offer tooling and training. For mobile apps, this is not yet the case.
New training
As one of the first steps within the partnership, a new training has been developed around digital accessibility testing of mobile apps. In this training you will learn how to test apps manually and how to do automated testing with the Abra tooling. Upon completion of the training, participants will also receive two months of full access to the Abra tooling and knowledge base.
