Test (Process) Improvement

Testing is often experienced as a difficult and uncontrollable process. Testing is also a time consuming and expensive process. Little is known about the quality of the test process and therefore the quality of the test object as well as about the risks involved for the business. What can we do to solve this?

Enhancing the quality of the test process could be the solution for companies facing these problems. A practical solution how to improve the quality of the test process is not always available. Therefore test process improvement models have been developed. These models are tools to show the maturity of the test process within the organisation. It also helps organising the steps to be taken in order to improve the test process in a controlled manner.

Objective

The objective of the course is to show participants the importance of structured testing, the necessity to improve the test process, different models for test process improvement and the change process to implement the improvement into the organisation. Apart from the theory, the course contains a number of exercises in order to gain practical experience.
