Test Outsourcing (TOGA®)

More and more organisations are outsourcing parts of their IT-processes to external suppliers. This process is known as ‘outsourcing’. The purpose of outsourcing is to get control on the costs, and to focus on the core business. Since recently the testing process is also subjected to ‘test outsourcing’, either partly or completely as one of the activities within the total development process.

Test outsourcing in itself brings a number of additional risks to the organisation. In a lot of circumstances agreed objectives and expectations are not achieved. In order to be successful both the demand organisation (the outsourcing organisation) and the supplier have to meet stringent requirements. This demands a specific route to test outsourcing and the necessary monitoring and control.

Objective

The objective of this course is to show participants the reasons and challenges of test outsourcing management. The distinguished phases in the process of test outsourcing will be taught and a lot of attention will be given to the organisation and monitoring of the outsourced test process.
